Title: Cottage of Doom
Post by: nickclone on Saturday, January 12, 2008, 01:39:04 PM
This is a fun freeware game that someone turned me onto. The first time you play it you're gonna get your ass kicked, but once you get it down you should do better than I did.

I think there was actually a thread on that here.  Yeah, I really liked it.  A bit too limited to be played extensively, but I spent a good hour on it probably.  It was quite fun, and the seed of what could really be a good game if somebody took the time to beef it up.

Idol made a thread on it a while ago. (http://www.overwritten.net/forum/index.php?topic=2953.0)

I played it for a few minutes but didn't really have time for an extended play. Then I forgot about it. Maybe I'll give it another go.

It kind of reminds me of the "Dawn of the Dead" pc game that came out a few years ago. The only thing I hate about it is that you have to install it.

Edit: I'm slow on the uptake.

GFW put this game on their new Feb 08 issue's "52 Freeware Games You Need to Play List".

Maniac Mansion Mania (http://www.maniac-mansion-mania.com/) made the list, too.
