Sonic? (http://ds.ign.com/articles/852/852731p1.html)
I mean, I guess Square did that Mario RPG back in the day, so it isn't all that strange, but Sonic? At least when Square did Mario, the franchise was a hot item. There hasn't been a worthy Sonic game somewhere on the order of a decade.
Of course, Bioware does this sort of thing sometimes too. Remember MDK2? At least then, both games were pretty sweet.

Huh... color me curious.

haven't seen a sonic game that's been worth playing in quite a while now, and if he's going to have an rpg, couldn't really choose much better than bioware to develop. i personally find the sonic characters to be intensely annoying though, so can't say that i'm all that excited.

I saw a story on that before. Well, if Square can get away with doing Goofy and Donald . . .

Weird. Yeah Sonic 1 & 2 were sweet, but I haven't really liked any Sonic game since.

All of the 2d Sonic games were great, and Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 had some great potential, but got fucked up with lame gameplay mechanics for some of the other characters (fat ass cat, Sonic's girlfriend, and Tails in SA2). I expect this to be pretty lame. A Sonic RPG could be good, if Square did it or Sega did it and let the Phantasy Star team do it (if they're still alive). Something like a Supermario RPG could work, this...I don't know.

Sonic was great util they went 3D crazy..
This is one of the many things I love about Bioware: they are adventurous! They seem to scale the spectrum with art styles and genres.
