You know, I actually thought Phoenix Wright (or games like it) would make an excellent episodic game. Lots of reused art, and 90% of the game is text based. It would sort of be like Law & Order...every episode is a new case. Seems like something a company could do and make new episodes fairly quickly.

Was that the lawyer game on the DS?

Seems interesting. I could see it working the way you describe it. I'm actually surprised simplistic episodic games haven't come around yet (excluding Sam & Max).
