PC GAMING IS DOOMED! (http://storefront.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=news&id=1489&s=0,265,11,56,70,618,371,636,152,469&i=0,2147483646&cc=GB&skin=4&client=1)
Seems to just be the Unreal games at this point, none of their older stuff. UT3 by itself is currently $44.95, but you can get the Unreal Pack for $53 that includes...well, everything. Unreal Gold, Unreal 2: The Awakening, Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition, Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition, and Unreal Tournament 3. Damn, thats a hell of a deal.

After all their whining about their games being pirated, thinking of heading to consoles, and all kinds of other whatnot -- Steam's pretty good for protecting games, so this makes a hell of a lot of sense.
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Epic moves to Steam PERIOD for their publisher.

Is it? When you get the latest Unreal, are you really going to play the older ones? (unless you are Xessive :P )

Hey UT Classic is still awesome!
If I hadn't already got UT3 I would have seriously considered the Epic Deal.
Unreal 2 kinda sucked, but the expanded multiplayer (XMP) was actually pretty fun!

I didn't think Unreal 2 was all that bad. Nothing to write home about, but it wasn't bad. I had fun with it at a budget price.

Yeah I liked Unreal 2.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I felt it wasn't good enough especially when compared to other games of the time. The texture quality was sub par (it was technically worse than the original Unreal). The story was so-so but I wasn't expecting that much of it anyway. The transitions were poorly done.
I really liked the characters though. The model design was great and very creative.
I'll give Legend Entertainment the credit for the effort, but I can't help but feel it all went to waste for lack of a little more.
If an Unreal III ever comes into the making I hope Digital Extremes would take the project. Speaking of which, Dark Sector should be out soon.
Anyway, I think it's a smart move for Epic to go with Steam.

I recently got the Unreal Anthology.
I think the only real game I'm truly missing is UT3, in the series.
