Orangutan uses a spear to hunt for fish. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/technology/technology.html?in_article_id=562236&in_page_id=1766&ito=1490)
I'll assume that the article is correct and the orangutan isn't simply hitting the water with the stick. If they continue on this trend, how long before they master bow technologies? I don't know about you guys, but I'm already preparing for the impending war with these apes. Crafty bastards...
-
That site seems somewhat sleazy/tabloidy.
-
Well, I see that you have already chosen your side in the upcoming war. Until we meet again on the field of battle, I bid you good day, sir.
-
I do have to consider the source. Now that Charlton Heston's gone, who can I trust?
-
Well, it is based in the UK, and I take anything those limey bastards do with a grain of salt. Even still, the text of the article withstanding, the picture kind of speaks for itself.
-
Where did a orangutan find a pole like that? Certainly isn't a tree branch.
-
Oh my god.....WE MUST KILL THEM ALL.
Quick my brothers, to arms! We must defend our race in the glorious name of Infinium Labs and the Phantom!
-
The Mail is semi-tabloid - it complains about house prices and immigrants, but also contains news.
Sometimes.
-
Um, what other type of news is there apart from complaining about house prices and immigrants?!
-
Uh...Paris Hilton being a stupid slutty bitch? I haven't heard one mention of houses or immigrants lately on E! News. Get with the program, man!
-
The picture doesn't even look that real. Maybe it's just my eyes bleeding from work today, but something about it seems fake. And the Daily Mail is pretty well known for being frequently full of shit.
-
Yeah, we've been over the Daily Mail before.

No, you're mistaken. That story was all over the news:
Apparently the NYT editorial staff was off that day, and the article was written by no one. But don't hate me for trying.

I didn't realize New York had a Labor Party.
I especially didn't realize that they spelled it "labour."
-
YES! We finally won! Now on to colour.
-
Injecting random u's into words is fun.
-
Not as fun as it will be when we're playing The Phantom!
-
Sorry, I don't mingle with Canadians. It's nothing personal.
-
PHANTOM! 8)
-
Oh man, they run that story every week or two.
-
PHANTOM! :)
-
Phantoum?

The image is part of a series taken for a new book, The Thinkers Of The Jungle, which also includes the first photograph of an orangutan swimming.
They can swim?! We were planning on the basis that they were not able to! Moats were our primary form of defense!
