Title: GoGamer Madness: Guild Wars
Post by: idolminds on Friday, May 02, 2008, 11:51:28 AM
Guild Wars: $9.90
GW Eye of the North: $9.90
GW Platinum: $24.90 (contains GW and EotN)
SWAT4: $9.90

Rest of the deals dont seem that interesting. If you don't have Guild Wars, now seems like the time.

Only GW I'm really missing is GW: Factions.

I'm betting CoH: GOTY Edition is worth the $12.90 -- already have CoH, I just ain't even installed it yet. Ain't installed CoH: Opposing, either.

Damn.  Too bad they aren't selling the GW stuff I don't have.

I'm considering. I just don't know if my computer will run it well enough to justify the purchase. How does the game scale to lower end systems?

Very well, actually.  The thing runs at like a jillion frames a second on my rig, which is newer, and it ran quite well for idol on his old thing, as I recall.

I'm sold then. Plus I'm moving next week, and going to be living in a place with blazing internet speeds for the summer. Anyone up for some GW next week?

I haven't played in a while, but I could be down.  It was good fun.  I need to install Eye of the North still.

I'd be down for playing GW. And yeah, that thing scales really well. I ran it maxed out with only minor slowdowns on my old rig (9700, only 512MB RAM). I could have run it with AA and stuff but that caused artifacting so I didnt. Only time it slowed down was in cities with hundreds of people, when watching some PvP with tons of spells going off, and this one snowy area Que and I went to.
