Post by: idolminds on Thursday, June 05, 2008, 09:28:35 AM
Fileshack (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/12271/Devil+May+Cry+4+Demo) but other places also have it.

800MB. Gives about 10 minutes of gameplay and a boss battle.

..AWESOME.

I take back what I said in the other thread, my doubts are mostly gone.  There are still a couple of bitches involved with the port (can't change a lot of options in game, have to cut out to the title menu), but for the most part it is optimized really really well.

I DL'ed this last nite, but didn't get to do anything w/ it b/c I was watching the Celtics game.
So, I'mma check this demo out today.

EDIT:
Wow! I just ran the benchmark and it runs like a dream!
Oh, you ain't kiddin' -- I put it on 60 FPS max cap, Super High Settings, AA on 4x. Goddamn -- this game doesn't run UNDER 60 FPS w/ all that action and whatnot happening on-screen. Not only that, the game looks really good at those settings, too.

Didn't try the KB/mouse controls at all. The game plays very well the X360 Controller.

I also like how when the game is teaching you moves and whatnot, it shows the Keyboard controls AND GamePad controls on-screen for learning the moves. Some console-to-PC ports, when teaching you stuff, they make the lazy mistake of just tell you how to do it w/ the gamepad -- so if you have a KB/mouse, you'll have to kinda' figure it out...

If this is how the PC version will look and play upon release, this looks like no botched port right here.
