And realize I never made a "Ill be back" post. Doh. Anyway, went up to MN for a family reunion, stayed a week because grandma had surgery, got to go to the fair, saw Wall-E and generally had a good time. Pics will be coming soon-ish, but my computer still doesnt want to connect to the internet. Hopefully I can get it figured out.
So Im back. Sorta.

				Welcome back Idol!

			-
				Greetings.

			-
Damn it.  You need to get back for real so we can play GW.  Fix fix fix!
I mean... uh... hi!  Good trip?

			-
Trip good. Lots of food and fun. Went to Itasca state park, which is the home of the Mississippi river headwaters. I got to wade in the start of the river, woo!

			-
Well, I guess that's one more river that'll need to be damned off.

Tomorrow:  Mysterious illness apparently rises from contaminated Mississippi river water killing thousands. Scientists are puzzled.
Next week:  The dead come back to life.

			-
				Awesome.

Idol's plan to actually put his Zombie Survival Guide to use is finally coming to fruition.

I've only read World War Z.  I worry that I'm only half prepared.

If I've learned anything from Resident Evil, it's that having 5 shotgun shells and a knife during a zombie infestation is a little inadequate.

			-
Yeah, but if you learned anything from Doom is that a chainsaw will do you pretty good if zombies are your only problem.

			-
For some reason running up to zombies with a chainsaw doesn't seem like a very smart decision to me. I'm more of the stay-away-and-shoot-then-run-if-all-else-fails type of zombie fighter. But I guess you are more of a badass than me.

I think a chainsaw would provide an effective, albeit messy zombie defense.  I'm with you though, I'd prefer to kill them from as far away as possible.

Me too.  Ultimately, though, I think I'd have to at some point find a chainsaw and wait until I had a couple zombies off by themselves that I could go massacre, even if that wasn't my primary method.  Then I could die saying that I totally chainsawed some zombies in half.  And that would be awesome.
