That is impressive as hell (http://www.andrewhasko.com/Niveus/).
One guy makes a medieval castle in the Crysis engine. Its got a bit of an Assassins Creed vibe to it. Amazing.
-
Man, that's incredible. I wonder why he hasn't released it for download? Is it not done yet? Or maybe he doesn't care and just wants it for his portfolio, curious people be damned.

Wow, that's amazing detail!
Imagine playing this map!

Imagine playing this map!
Imagine trying to run it within in Crysis....
I smell a slideshow coming on...

Wow that's amazing! D might be right though.

Yeah I assume that D is correct on this one.
Very, very pretty though. Incredible engine.

Crysis looks better on Medium than most other games do on their Highest.
I could imagine how great Crysis looks and runs on Highest settings if you got a uber-ridiculously powerful PC.
Hmmm...I wonder how (horribly) Crysis would perform, if it was redone with ray-tracing like Quake Wars was done in those Intel Ray-Tracing tests!

I totally disagree with you there. Crysis on medium does NOT look good.
-
Apparently Niveus is now available for download! (http://www.gamershell.com/download_32752.shtml)

Wow, 100MB maps.

Yeah, the maps for Crysis are mostly huge but there are a few that are relatively small in filesize and in-game dimenions.

I agree... maybe not always better, but definitely as good.
