Has been for a long time. Though for several years it redirected to homomojo.com, which is what it turned into. Which was pretty fucking skanky.

The first website oriented toward gay gamers was AllOutGames.com which started in late 2001. It later evolved into a general game community and review site but still had many features for LGBT gamers. AllOutGames was later rolled into the broader-focused HomoMojo.com.

I still have a lot of difficulty understanding what the heck sexuality has to do with being a gamer. Being a gamer is independent of age, creed, gender, sexual orientation, and political stance. Gamers will make games of anything; whether it be rocks and wood chips or computers and .. computer chips.

Well, it kind of made sense at the time (and I guess still does) from a certain perspective. I mean, online social interactions are generally the most retarded ever (excluding those between sober people in bars) and a lot of slang was being thrown around that gay people would take offense to. I think Duckfat and others just wanted to kind of build a community where that wouldn't go on, as well as to build acceptance, support, and increase awareness.
The problem is that you can't really externally strong arm that, which is kind of where it went. By the end I think Duck and those other dudes figured we were kind of slowing down progress for whatever reasons and possibly detrimental to the whole thing because we didn't want to be involved in a softcore gay porn website. It's kind of a shame because they had an opportunity which was squandered simply because there were points of disagreement and debates, and some people took offense (I believe I told madzim or that other guy that I thought bombing the shit out of Iraq was awesome because 'I need something to watch on TV").
But yeah, I do agree that the whole "gaymer" label is a bit retarded. I'll respect and accept it when we have mainstream gayseball players and they label themselves as such. Until then, as far as I'm concerned it's just a bunch of emos in different skin all wanting to be a part of something.

Also, while the site was initially a positive thing for me, after getting so royally fucked over by a number of people, one of whom I considered a friend, I think I'm immensely more negative about the whole thing than I was before. I somewhat irrationally view most gay people as backstabbing little social sluts now and generally do everything possible to avoid them. There are exceptions, and it isn't like I have any real love of people in general anyway, but.... yeah.

Hehe well I'm glad to know we all pretty much agree on the subject. It was kinda weird with DuckFat though. I'm gonna go with GPW and believe it was a bunch of emo shit.
Anyone still have any of the old reviews from those days? I just think it's fun to go over some of the old stuff and see how we've changed since :)
