Now thats comedy. (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=20299)
Sony Australia's Michael Ephraim has questioned the price point of rival next-gen hardware, stating the Wii is "a lot to fork out" for the intended family audience, while branding the Xbox 360 as "pricey".

Do they mean it's expensive for basically being a somewhat upgraded GameCube???? It's still cheaper than both the X360 and PS3.
Do they mean the X360 is expensive for the hardware they are using??? Possibily. I believe the vid card and processor in the X360 alone is worth the price-tag itself, since M$ is taking a loss on the sales of a X360 system -- though, you'll pay through the nose for the games, as they are $60 a piece. Plus, the 360 is going to make gamers spend more once they introduce the HD-DVD add-on, which I'm sure eventually some MS-published games will be eventually be requiring.....
Sony should NOT be talking -- they're console is just expensive period, since they using a lot new and cutting-edge tech and all, such as the way over-priced Blu-Ray.

That is just laughable. Sure, the Wii is kind of expensive when you consider that it is barely more powerful than the Gamecube, but I guess you do have to consider all the new motion-sensing technology thrown in this time.
The Xbox 360 is pretty expensive. Period. But even the premium system is no where near the PS3 premium system. Of course, if you throw in the price of the HD-DVD drive on the 360, it is actually more expensive than the PS3.

I bet once that HD-DVD add-on is out for the 360, Microsoft will probably start also selling versions of the 360 that will be bundled right w/ that HD-DVD drive equipped to it.
