Title: MysterD's 28th Birthday
Post by: MysterD on Saturday, October 25, 2008, 05:40:23 AM
Happy birthday to me!
Turnin' 28 today.

Okay....so, here's the big question....
Should it be linear or non-linear?

I thought you were much younger than that. Though I guess you were. I didn't realize how long we've all been talking until just now. Getting close to the 10 year mark.

Happy Birthday D, make it good.

Probably not gonna do anything out of the usual weekend of mine.

Usual weekend of mine normally consists of playing games, watching movies, and going out to eat.

Happy Birthday, mate.  Going to get some games as presents, no doubt?

Happy Birthday, mate.
Thanks.

Dad already asked me what game I wanted.
Right now, eh -- not really sure what I want for a game.

It might wind up him buying me Fallout 3 (on Tuesday).
He's already suggested that.
Regardless of who pays for that one (me or him), I'm definitely getting Fallout 3 on Tuesday.
I just ain't decided on either Regular or Collector's Ed.
I'm on vacation this upcoming week from work, so yeah -- lots of FO3 planned.

We're going out to eat in a bit -- well, we do that every weekend (Sat and Sunday), anyways.
But, still -- Abington Ale House has free meal for the birthday boy/girl on the day of.
(And so does Charlie Horse, too -- which they also own).
I been to the Charlie Horse before; ain't done the Ale House.

Heh, I have 3 days of next week off for Fallout 3 as well.  Come home Tuesday, pick up the game from mom's (I have my stuff delivered there so it doesn't get stolen) since I did release-day shipping from Amazon, go home and play until Monday morning when I have to go back to work.  It's going to be epic.

The CE actually looks pretty cool.  The Survival Edition doesn't really appeal to me that much since the only extra thing is the Pipboy replica (which is neat, but costs a lot of extra cabbage).

I find it funny that the person creating D's birthday thread was D himself.

I planned a long time ago to have this week off (week after my birthday). It just so happens FO3 is coming out that week -- lucky me! :)

I wish the CE came w/ the Soundtrack, though. That's one thing I wish the CE had.

Abington Ale House was pretty good. Had a pretty good steak there ($20). Can't beat a free entree, now can you? Downed a beer. Yeah, good to go. :) Good deal.

Since I didn't have any of 'em and been meaning to for a while, I picked up a bunch of AC/DC albums (six in total) -- including yes, their new Black Ice LP.

Got The Incredible Hulk (Ed Norton version) on DVD rental.

Oh and happy birthday.

What do you do, D?

Oh, For work?
I work in Office Services Dept. for a (chain) Supermarket company.
Basically, I receive and deliver mail throughout the building, sort mail to go to stores, etc etc -- anything dealing with mail, basically, I deal with.

I been playing a lot of Vegas 2 on the PC today, which been pretty good, to say the least.

About to go watch The Incredible Hulk.

I think this is the first self-created birthday thread in the history of Overwritten. :D

Sometimes if you want it done right, you just have to do it yourself.

I wasn't knocking him - on the contrary; I applaud him for his initiative.

With an attitude like that, I'm not surprised.

On an unrelated note, I hope that D had a most excellent celebration for his birthday.

That's like a quote from Eric Cartman.

Wow, I completely missed this thread.

Well, since it's too late for me to wish you a happy 28th, let me instead wish you a happy 29th birthday, 361 days early.

Maybe I'll resurrect this thread in a year for my 29th.
