Had it been here or in Mexico or something, I would have spouted off about how I hate filthy humans.  Somehow it seems acceptable over there.

Note to self: move to wintery location and rig the power system.

"What? The power is out AGAIN? What are the odds?"

Not cuz they're white, but because they have an unprecedented lack of babies.  If you've got a baby deficit and you make more, that's okay with me.  I just hate it when you've got 20 you already neglect and don't want to take care of, and somehow think it would be a good idea to have 20 more.

Hahaha!

There was a famous outage in NYC that supposedly led to a mini baby boom, sometime in the 60s.

I remember Germany was having real problems with underpopulation a few years back (like two years ago, not post world war era :P). This could have been their solution.

Its surprising we can have an underpopulation problem when the solution is what it is.

I do remember a professor I had talking about this.  I obviously wasn't really paying attention so I can't remember the context but I do remember him saying that the largest factor on pregnancy rates in developed countries was power outages.  He also said the big east coast ice storm a few years ago caused a mini boom.

A similar pattern happens here in the Middle-East. When the power goes out, there's no TV, no internet, air conditioning is dead, people sweat, they shed some layers.. Chikapow! The inevitable is a result of heat and boredom.

I wonder how often it happens when trapped in an elevator.

This explains why I was sitting in the corner crying during the last power outage.

It's not supposed to be common but surprisngly we experience an outtage every few of months. That hard one was about 2 months ago when the power went out for two days, increasing outdoor activity and in some instances various indoor activities :P
