Well basically you aren't getting the HD audio you are supposed to on Blu-Ray on the computer because they were more concerned with protecting their format than the necessary stuff.

Why the fuck would you want to use your PC as your HD home theatre system anyway?
Also, HD audio is only relevant and truly noticeable if you've got some fucking amazing sound system -- like top of the line stuff. Only a handful of receivers supports HD audio anyway at this time.

No, HD audio is never noticeable, which is all the more reason not to saddle it down with hyper-restrictive DRM.
