Sq... wait, what? That's, uh... WTF?
-
Given what GPG and Stardock been up to w/ Gamers' Bill of Right's and Demigod, I figured Stardock would've been the publisher for Sup Com 2, myself.
I guess Square Enix wants to start publishing 3rd party games now...

Maybe they're looking at getting back into doing some shitty PC ports. As long as I get a port of Vagrant Story 2 (get off your asses, stop making anime inspired shit, and get on this), I"m happy.

.....huh?

Watching SpikeTV VGA - E3 2009 Special.
They just showed a trailer off for this one.
EDIT:
Here's the trailer from last night (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-supreme-commander/49801)

Sup Com 2 will use Steam for its matchmaking.
While the engine itself is quite moddable, there is currently no support for custom maps. (http://pc.ign.com/articles/105/1058207p1.html)
-
Huh, well that'll be awkward when Impulse refuses to sell it.

I bet after Demigod got pirated quite a bit and the whole short-lived Internet connection issues, Taylor probably doesn't care if Impulse sells SupCom 2 or not...
I'm curious how much money GPG and Stardock made off Demigod, since it been released.

Supcom 2 will be using steamworks only. Can't say I blame Taylor after the last fiasco with stardock.
Seriously though, has this guy heard of an art director?

We knew that already, though - from this post w/ the IGN interview. (http://www.overwritten.net/forum/index.php?topic=4563.msg80089#msg80089)

Well basically the IGN review said the game's campaign is boring, feels a little more like a really long tutorial etc. Yes, not interested Chris.

Sup Com 2 = $10.99 on Steam this weekend only. (http://store.steampowered.com/app/40100/)
EDIT:
Granted, I have NOT played the original Sup Com - and I've heard SupCom2 is much more "streamlined" than its previous effort SupCom1. I do likely plan to play SupCom1 after all this - once I get my hands on a copy of SupCom: Gold and all. I'm probably guessin' that I'm goin' in the right direction, playing Sup2 before Sup1 - given what I've heard about Sup1 vs. Sup2. So, yeah - my experience w/ this will probably be more positive w/ SupCom2 than those who are vets w/ Sup1 and decide to play Sup2 afterwards.
Anyways, I've got about 2 hours logged into this, according to Steam. After the tutorial and first level - My God, I spent over an hour on the next MAP alone - maybe I suck at RTS's b/c I don't play many of them, but I was just having fun trying to keep up w/ Wars being waged from one side of the map to the other and just watching wanton levels of destruction and havoc. On that map - the game gave me a 3 star rating (out of 5) OVERALL. For one of the factors you get scored on, I had like ZERO stars for Time factor. :P
Worth nothing - everything is cranked-up here and the game runs w/out a hitch on 1024x768.
