Title: Myst Online goes open source
Post by: idolminds on Saturday, December 13, 2008, 07:31:48 PM
Client, server, tools...everything. (http://www.mystonline.com/)

Thats about as cool as it gets for Myst. You can build your own Ages, link them, run a server and let others play or contribute to an even larger server. Imagine a server thats a library, and every book contains a different Age to visit and explore. Awesome.

That excites me more than any Myst project since the original.  That's pretty cool.  I haven't given a shit about the series for years, but so much could be done with those tools.
