I usually don't follow awards shows very often, but there were lots of amazing movies this year.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button scored 13 noms.
The Dark Knight scored 8 noms.
Wall-E scored 6 (7 if you include Presto) -- tied for most noms for an animated feature.  I was really hoping it would get a best picture nod, but no dice.

I hear Slumdog Millionaire is a really good movie but I haven't had a chance to see it yet.

make time, it's superb. comes across as something of a modern day fairy tale - not entirely believable, but thoroughly enchanting all the same.

I can't believe that Jolie got the nom for lead actress for that overacting spectacle in Changeling. I really hope she doesn't win, she annoys the hell outta me.
