I was going to say a Citizen but the $100 limit puts a damper on that.  I've got nothing.

I was gonna go with a Seiko, I'm in love with my new kinetic watch! I'll never need a watch battery eva!

That's not a bad budget.  I got my current Fossil for I think $80 from Julia as a Christmas present (or was it birthday?) a number of years ago.  Looks stylish, takes a beating, and has I think an 11 year warranty.  Most of their watches hover around the $100 mark.  This one (http://www.fossil.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=12052&catalogId=10052&departmentCategoryId=30001&categoryId=30016&productId=1001862&N=0&Va=187&Ns=p_subcategory_sequence%7c0%7c%7cp_weight%7c0%7c%7cp_order_history%7c1&rec=96&pn=c&imagePath=CH2331) is similar to the one that I have, and it's been the best watch I've ever had.  You can check them all out here (http://www.fossil.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryView?langId=-1&storeId=12052&catalogId=10052&categoryId=30016&parent_category_rn=30001&N=0&Ns=p_subcategory_sequence%7c0%7c%7cp_weight%7c0%7c%7cp_order_history%7c1&departmentCategoryId=30001).  I plan to buy another Fossil whenever my current one finally gives up the ghost.

I have this one and it is awesome. (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/8765/)  You might be looking for something a little fancier though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Fossil.  They have some nice looking watches for $100 or under.

I've got a 50 dollar timex that has been running on the same battery for 5+ years and has never given me an issue.
