Title: Nile Online: Free to play city builder
Post by: idolminds on Sunday, March 08, 2009, 02:05:47 PM
Pretty nifty (http://www.playnileonline.com/).

From Tilted Mill, makers of Children of the Nile and Hinterland. Its a browser-based city builder, and it seems pretty cool so far. It runs in real-time, so you can set your workers up to gather stuff, log off for a couple hours, and come back to a pile of resources to play with.

Worth giving a spin.

Looks a lot like the game Pharaoh, I loved that game.

Didn't they do a full 3D Nile game?  That looked like the one Pyro talked about, but it was 3D and more cartoony.  This one looks fun.  I love city builders when the mood strikes me.

Heh, funny you mention that. My mom just found a copy of Pharaoh at a church sale. The old style big box with a huge thick manual.
