I just watched Gremlins and Gremlins 2 and what a ride down nostalgia boulevard! hehe
Sometimes I laughed with the movie and other times at it. It's just one of those things.
It also reminded me of how often I confused Mogwais with Furbies.
Just felt like sharing that :P

Blast from the past. My favorite memory from that isn't even visual (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuehHAXRFvQ&feature=related), though I had a thing for Phoebe Cates.

"MTV. MTV. Got cable?"

Haha yeah that's been ringing in my head all day!
Man, watching it again and seeing a lot of familiar faces was sensational. My first reaction to the beginning of Gremlins 2 was "Ah Count Dooku!!"

Anybody remember the NES games? That takes me back.

Theres a funny story about those movies. Back when they came out I was only 3-4 or whatever. My aunt saw the previews and thought it would be fun to take my brother and I. Well, she only saw the cute fuzzy guys in the commercials and didn't know they turned all evil.
So long story short she brings us back home and I hide cowering behind the big chair in the living room as my aunt apologizes to my parents for destroying the next week of sleep.

Hahaha! Yes! I remember that really well. Some parents were duped into thinking this was a movie for kids. There was a lot of anger afterward. So you were one of the victims. Did it scar you for life?

I was six when this came out. I liked it a lot.
Now the movie Aliens... that scared the shit out of me. I guess I was eight when I saw that. I love the movie now though. In fact I watched it on AMC last night.

Speaking of Phoebe Cates, Fast Times at Ridgemont High is on right now on HBO Comedy.
Never seen it before.
