Horrible.  If only they turned a fraction of that understandable anger toward the factions who killed 3,000 in New York in 2001, which their country aided and harbored, there would be a lot more hope of ending the war.  Then the rebuilding we would foster could help them immensely.

Oh jeeze.

Anyway, it is just striking to see how war affects people mentally. It is obvious that war screws with a lot of people's heads etc., but we never get to see that aspect of it since war -- at least when I see it covered on TV -- gets a bit sterilized.

I mean we obviously know it happens in war, any war, but to see it first hand puts things in perspective.

Right now the Pakistan army is bombing the Taliban that have infiltrated, and a lot of civilians are getting displaced and killed. Tragic.

It's a harsh reality. Raising awareness about the ramifications of war is a crucial step in addressing the problem but it's just a start.
