Bethesda Softworks' next game will be revealed next Thursday on GTTV on their 11PM show on Spike TV. (http://kotaku.com/5271488/gametrailers-tv-reveals-bethesdas-next-game-thursday)
I'm so hoping it's gonna be this game that's been rumored about for a while, yet we've seen nothing of yet. (http://www.overwritten.net/forum/index.php?topic=4512.0)
We know there's that game I linked above, Obsidian's doing FO: New Vegas (http://www.overwritten.net/forum/index.php?topic=5174.0), haven't heard much on Rogue Warrior (http://www.overwritten.net/forum/index.php?topic=389.0), and...am I missing anything here?
Start speculating, guys...

Why not a armor-blinged-out Space Unicorn?

Yeah, I'm sure it'll be TES5. If it isn't, everything they said in the past would sort of end up being moot. I just hope, as I always do, they get the technical stuff right this time. I know they won't, but part of me hopes they will anyway.

At the very worst...
They'll have it right, after the first few patches.
And after the SDK gets released, when the modders fix all the left-over bugs.
-
I thought they did a pretty good job with Fallout 3. It wasn't perfect obviously but it was head and shoulders above any of their previous releases in terms of technical performance.
-
True, but they still fucked things up on the console side pretty seriously, and there were a few glaring errors that came to light as time went on, some of which are still unfixed.

Yeah, it is a shame. I've run into some game-breaking bugs myself.
There are some minor things that I'm surprised they hadn't fixed in the several updates to the PC version; for example the combat shotgun still forces the character to move slowly.

Watching the E3 thing on Spike TV.

it's Oblivion with guns... IN SPACE!
EDIT: For clarification, it's a shot of some space station/spaceship or something, talk of something called "the ark", and some guy's eye close up. No details on anything at all really, just that it seems futuristic and is called Brink.

Idol was close, eh? :oP

Official BRINK teaser site (http://brinkthegame.com/)
Currently it just shows the same teaser but hopefully soon more info will show up.
-
Yeah, the teaser on Spike TV...did nothing for me.
Didn't really show off much of...anything.
We need MORE INFO!
-
Meh.
-
I'm getting more interested in the game. Goozex had a look at it at PAX (http://thegoozexreport.blogspot.com/2009/09/pax-09-look-at-brink-from-expo-hall.html).

Sounds interesting.
I'd really like to see some footage, video, and screenshots...or something.
In due time, I'm sure...

It sort of looks to me like Borderlands, with a mix of some Mirror's Edge style movement, and Team Fortress 2 looking character design. Apparently it's up to 8 player coop (drop in and out), or ther's a mode where "everyone is a player" (I'm guessing it's probably not the campaign, but a multiplayer match that sort of mirrors the events of the campaign).

If Direct2Drive's pre-order page for Brink PC is telling us anything here (http://www.direct2drive.com/2/9744/product/Buy-BRINK-Download)...
...it looks like Steam is required for Brink PC.
-
I saw that a couple weeks ago. It does. Seems Bethesda is on the Steam bandwagon. I'm not hopeful for Rage anymore, either.

Splash Damage talks about Brink PC version - not-so-good launch and success from the recent Steam-sale. (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/15/brink-dev-says-launch-was-rough-game-found-success-on-pc/)
Neil Alphonso, lead designer at Splash Damage, readily admits that Brink could have undergone a better launch. "A lot of the game's complaints were entirely valid," he said.
"It was rough, but in the end the game's done alright," Alphonso told Joystiq, shortly after his GDC Europe presentation on the ambitious shooter's development. "Key is to keep supporting the game and keep tuning it more and more."
Asked if the company was going to try a "Welcome Back" weekend after months of patching, he expressed that the recent Brink DLC, which was free for the first two weeks, along with the game's weekend discount on Steam, shot "the [sales] numbers way, way up."
Alphonso said it's too early to discuss if the game will retain a significant portion of the new players. "We still have a lot of work to do, honestly," he said, noting improvements to the overall game and its supporting tech. "We have to support those people."
