Title: Doing some Goozex trading
Post by: PyroMenace on Thursday, July 23, 2009, 12:04:15 AM
Anyone else ever use this site? (http://www.goozex.com) Its a pretty nifty way to get more value from the games you want to sell, though no, you don't get cash, you just get currency to buy other games which that site damn near has everything because its made up of people that want to trade their stuff too. For instance, that spare copy of Ico I had with no manual or game case netted me 25$ worth of currency on the site, I wouldn't even get close to that if I tried to trade it in at Gamestop or Gamecrazy. There's quite a few games I have now that I'm willing to let go of, and with the currency I have gathered so far I plan to grab New Super Mario Bros. for the DS and Metroid Prime 3. If I manage to trade out all the games I have put up, I'll actually have enough points to get something more new.

I was thinking of either getting Smash Bros. Brawl or Street Fighter 4, but as I keep thinking of those two, I don't think I'll put in enough time since I don't have too many visitors over to play with, so maybe I'll grab the DS port of Chrono Trigger... choices, choices.

I never trade in my games.  Ever.  If I did, though, I'd totally use Goozex.  It's a pretty slick site.

Chrono Trigger DS is actually on sale new for 20 bucks at a lot of places now, Game Crazy being one of them.  You get a neat poster with "First Runs" of the game, but I've never seen a copy that didn't have it.

It's really THE version to own.  You don't notice until you go back and play the original SNES game and realize how much better the DS Makes it look.

Damn, so Ive grabbed a score of great games through the passed 2 weeks through deals like the one K-Man pointed out and Goozex.
So far, I've gotten:

Chrono Trigger DS 20$ at Gamecrazy
Street Fighter IV 20$ at Gamestop

And through Goozex I traded off Ico, Eternal Darkness, Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, and Lost Odyssey, and got both Metroid Prime 3 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl in the mail today in nearly perfect condition and also have enough points to get Fable 2 which Im matched for so it'll be in the mail shortly.

So all in all, I spent about 60 bucks which includes the shipping costs to mail out those games so I made off like a bandit.

Good stuff. I'm glad to know that when you die you won't be sent to Gamer Hell then.

I don't know, it isn't the worst place in the world (http://www.gamershell.com/).  At least they have good file transfers.

This is true. Maybe the real Gamer Hell goes by a different name. Broadband Unavailableville maybe?

Even though I know that is Gamers Hell, I always read that in my mind as gamer shell.
