Another great one moves on. (http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Music/08/13/obit.les.paul/index.html) Les Paul is from my parents' time, and I liked his music a lot as a kid. I still have a London "Phase 4" 12-in LP (http://cgi.ebay.com/Jazz-Guitar-LP-Record-Les-Paul-NOW!-London-Phase-4_W0QQitemZ330348809765QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090731?IMSfp=TL090731166001r16633) of his in storage. This label was dedicated to showcase the kind of tech that Paul pioneered. At least he lived to a ripe old age. I should be so lucky as to live another 40 good years.

A pioneer among pioneers. The man did so much for music it's nearly ridiculous. RIP.
