In response to the PS3 price drop, Microsoft is dropping the 360 Elite to $299 (http://www.giantbomb.com/news/whaddayaknow-microsoft-has-a-price-drop-too/1663/). They are not making Pro editions anymore so they will be cut to $250 until they are gone.
They should keep the pro and take out the arcade edition because a hard driveless 360 is worthless.

How much does it cost to add a HD to the 360?

If you added one, you'd want at least the 120 gig, which runs 130-150 most places.

160GB Western Digital HDD - $40 (25 cents per gig)
120GB Xbox 360 HDD - $120 ($1 per gig)
I heard somewhere, I dont' remember where, that there might be a 250GB Xbox package coming out. If the price falls in line with the 120GB drive, I guess a standalone 250GB will cost $250. I'm usually one of the last to jump on the "fuck Microsoft" bandwagon, but you know, fuck Microsoft.
On a side note, I should have bought an Elite. My 60GB drive isn't big enough.
