Mesmerizing in what way?  I kept waiting for the box to fall off and reveal a real sweet ride.  Never happened.

The ride looked tremendous ugly.

I meant the way the whole thing was marketed... it was so terrible, yet I couldn't look away.

I watched that idiotic mess again.

Anyone notice how they pause a few seconds before they use an English catchphrase after yammering on in Japanese?

It is like:

ARIGATOARIGATOARIGATOARIGATO *3 second pause* COOOOL AND BAD! ARIGATOARIGATOARIGATOARIGATO!

(Note: They aren't actually saying Arigato. It is just the only Japanese word I could come up with at the time)
