Title: Osmos
Post by: Xessive on Wednesday, September 09, 2009, 07:19:58 PM
This game (http://www.hemispheregames.com/osmos/) is pretty chilled. It reminds me a lot of flOw, so if you liked that chances are Osmos is right up your alley.

I downloaded the demo for this forever ago and still haven't installed it.

I've finally gotten around to playing this after installing a shit-ton of indie games on my newly-reformatted PC, and I love this game!  It's really something... anyone that missed it should definitely give it a shot.  It's really good stuff.

I bought this with one of the indie bundles (I think...maybe a steam sale).  It does seem rather good.

I got this on the last Humble Indie Bundle and played several of the levels after finishing Braid recently, but Hard Corps Uprising distracted me and now I'm trying to finish up Amensia on my 10 game backlog list before I go into it any further.  I did enjoy what I played though.

It starts quite simply but gets interesting, and they find ways to do a surprising amount with a very simple concept.  The game is incredibly simple, but each new step always seems to keep me playing.  Some levels open and you're just have to say "whoa", I think because it always keeps you feeling somewhat vulnerable.  You have no real skin, after all... that's the whole point.
