Title: XBL Holiday Deals of the Day
Post by: W7RE on Saturday, December 19, 2009, 05:44:28 PM
XBL does a deal of the week every week, but between the 18th and the end of the month they're also doing a deal of the day. (I'm not sure, but you might need to have a gold membership for these)

December 18: 2010 glasses for your avatar - FREE (normally $0.50)
December 19: Worms 2: Armageddon - 400pts ($5, normally $10?)
December 20: New Years Eve dashboard theme - FREE (normally $3)
December 21: Avatar Golf - 200pts ($2.50, normally $5?)
December 22: Stargate Continuum (movie) - 80spt ($1)
December 23: Marvel vs Capcom 2 - 560pts ($7, normally $15)
December 24: Uno Rush - 400pts ($5, normally $10)
December 25: Monkey Island SE - 400pts ($5, normally $10)
December 26: Battle for Terra (movie) - 80pts ($1)
December 27: All Fallout DLC 400pts each ($5 each, normally $10)
December 28: Guitar Hero 5 Rolling Stones Live track pack - 360pts ($4.50, normally $9)
December 29: Batman Returns (movie) - 80pts ($1)
December 30: Castle Crashers - 560pts ($7, normally $15)
December 31: Battlefield 1943 - 600pts ($7.50, normally $15)

Also apparently there's a free Christmas present prop for you avatar, but it's not listed in the holiday items section of the avatar app? Here's a link to the browser page for it, you can grab it there. (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/avatar/offers/011f0001-0000-4000-8000-000058580828?cid=SLink)

I think The Maw is actually gonna be the deal of the week for the week of the 28th, not the deal of the day.

That's a good price for The Maw.  It's short and sweet.

On XBL, the only two games I'm interested in are Splosion Man and Shadow Complex.  Since they are fairly new (2009 releases), I do doubt that they will go on sale.

Shadow Complex is on sale right now for $10 instead of $15, but it looks like you saw the post in the other thread already.

December 22 is Stargate Continuum for 80pts. Maybe I've been living under a rock but I've never heard of this movie.

So far this deal of the day thing has sucked. Oh an apparently the free New Years theme that wasn't even premium, 2 days after the sale, it was updated to be premium (if you redownload it). It's still ugly though.

Yup, The Maw is this week's deal of the week, not a deal of the day. I picked it up just because it's from Twisted Pixel ('Splosion Man).

It's a deal at 15.  It's a no-brainer at 7

Yea Castle Crashers is the first of these deals I've actually jumped on. I've been meaning to buy it, and this was enough to push me there. I did get The Maw when it became deal of the week though.

I considered Worms 2, but I've had the PC version for years and haven't touched it, so really how much would I play it on Xbox?

Yes, at $7 you have to hate scrolling brawlers entirely to pass on it.  That is one addictive and long-lived funfest.

Damn it, when is Castle Crashers hitting PSN?  It's been out for like a year and a half now or something on 360.  Arg.

Is Behemoth porting it to PSN?  Those guys do take their sweet time.
