Title: Merry Christmas, dooders! and doodettes!
Post by: ScaryTooth on Thursday, December 24, 2009, 03:39:47 PM
Gonna have a big dinner and open presents with my family tonight. I already opened one this morning, which was Dragon Age.

What does everyone have planned?

Happy holidays everyone!

Gonna open the gifts tonight, then have a nice big dinner tomorrow. Weather is pretty crappy so we're just staying in.

Ahh the holidays... it is so easy to eat as much as a small army would.

Around midnight, gifts will start to be opened.
I can't wait for Dragon Age: Origins PC.

Tomorrow, off to grandmother's house for X-Mas Day.

Was supposed to go to my mom's place for Christmas, but she got sick and didn't want to do the prep work.  So we're headed to my sister's place instead.  Unfortunately my father in law tore his rotator cuff and can't really get around since he's got spinal problems and a bum leg which means he needs to use a cane... but now he can't because of his arm.  So the in-laws won't be joining us and we'll see them on Saturday instead.  Probably most of the presents will happen Saturday, and tomorrow will just be food, drink, and... food.  And family.  And food.

Tonight my wife is off to church with her mom, so it looks like I'll be playing the part of Heathen McGee and will instead stay home, work out, study, and then probably get really effing drunk and play some chess.

Merry Christmas all.  Went out to dinner with Sandy and her daughter's family tonight.  It's still like 57 degrees here in Nashville.  Presents are not in the cards for me, or from me this year.  Good food and better company will just have to do.  Hope you're all having a great time through the new year.

That's not entirely true.  Something should be waiting for you at your mom's house.  I say should be, because I kind of lost the tracking number.

???  Oooh!  Now you have me really curious.  Thanks, man!  I'll post about it as soon as I find out what it is.  You leave me speechless sometimes, really.  :)

Actually, I did get a few presents today.  A nice shirt, some sports socks, a calendar, and a few other goodies.  They're all so nice to me here.  Having a great time, but I dread the drive back tomorrow.  Hope everyone is having a great Christmas day.

I read this a few times over thinking it was a Your Mom joke. Then I read a few posts down and it all came together. I'll never doubt you again, Que. Never.

But yay Christmas! I got/am getting a turkey dinner and a beer. What more could you want?

Goddamn people and all your presents.  Though I can't complain.  Julia got me the gift of Calvin and Hobbes.

You better be giving him an insane amount of blowjobs for that.

I got a few bits, but it was more about the kids this year. Me and one of my brothers clubbed together to get my other brother and his 2 daughters an xbox, rockband and a bunch of games. Also got my mum a dell mini netbook for putting up with my shit the last few years.

Pretty sure that isn't gonna' cover it, dude.  I think you're more into sports car or even Victorian mansion territory at this point.

Well, it made it!  Finally got back to my mother's and I'm only going to be here a day or 2.  Soundtrack to Aquaria--thanks!  I'll be listening to that tonight.  Good looking CD, complete with full-sized jewel case.

I'm almost ashamed to list what I got.  Wife's family was borderline insanely generous to me this year.

Hah, I was at the Father-in-law's house in Nashville on Christmas Eve.

Please don't.  It's just going to make me feel inferior and unloved.

Happy last day of the Christmas season, namely the Epiphany, or revelation of the birth of Jesus to mankind, aka Three Kings Day in much of the world, and Christmas day itself for those Christians who still follow the Julian calendar rather than the Gregorian for such things.  This was particularly sweet in my native land when I was little.  The memories still make this a special day for me.
