I read an article about that on a different site a few days ago. It reminded me of The Fifth Element - the space shuttle sleeping quarters.

I heard about those capsules a few years ago in the businessman context the author mentioned.  I suppose it was only a matter of time before they became cheap homes for the poor.

A sad story.  Unfortunately that's how it is over there... expensive as hell.  Not an easy place to make a go of it.

But seriously, this is pretty depressing. In our great world of prosperity, in one of the most developed countries, the middle class live in tubes. Thats fucked up.

They still have a middle class?  Glad someplace does.
