Watched this movie on DVD last night called The Hurt Locker - it's about a small group of soldiers in Iraq, in which their squad namely focuses on disarming road-side bombs.
Awesome movie.
Anyone seen it yet?

I first caught wind of this movie via a free Cincy newspaper called City Beat. The writers were gushing over it. Since then I've heard pretty much the same sort of sentiment from a lot of other people. I definitely want to see it.

I saw this last week; it's a great movie. Definitely highly recommended.

I saw previews of this awhile ago and I was skeptical. Lots of war movies dealing with modern day stuff feel forced, bordering on propaganda. But I read some reviews about it and I am interested, given the focus they decided to take.

Come on why does this thread lack replies? I just watched it. Fantastic sound editing. Amazing movie.

Hmm. I thought I posted about it somewhere. Anyway, yes, great movie. Accolades much deserved.

I wasn't really expecting much out of this, but I really liked it.

Really enjoyed this one. The story was engrossing but simple enough to convey what it wanted to.

This reminds me of my cousin that is in the Army. He was a Striker driver but they rotated him home because they don't need a lot of Strikers in Iraq. So he changed to an 11B, general infantry, just so he could go back.
