Title: Up in the Air
Post by: iPPi on Tuesday, March 02, 2010, 11:15:36 PM
I really, really liked it. The humor was there, though subtle. The subject matter was serious, but the movie does take it lightheartedly. The acting and writing was great.
I can only complain that it does seem to drag a little too long. I think they could have cut about 10 minutes off the film to make it a little tighter.

My problem with it is that it takes the very serious issue of employee disposability and uses it as little more than a backdrop for comedy. I know there's a moral tucked in there (I did watch it till the end) but still.

Saw this last nite and really liked it.

I had a funny feeling that Alex (Vera Farminga's character) was married.
I never expected the woman to jump off the bridge, though... :(

I just watched it and liked it. I had read the book before so I was assuming I would dislike the movie as seems to always be the case. They changed the movie so drastically from the book that it was hard to view them as anything but two completely separate entities.
