Keen (http://kotaku.com/5490621/monkey-island-2-special-edition-hits-this-summer)
Hooray! Ok, so I didnt buy the first one yet (My god, THE HAIR!) but this is encouraging:
LucasArts also announced today that The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will soon be available for digital download on the PS3 via the PlayStation Network, for the Mac from Aspyr's www.GameAgent.com, and for the PC via the Telltale Games online store at www.TelltaleGames.com and Instant Action's www.InstantAction.com
I'm pretty sure the first was only available on Steam until now. So now I can get it! Mostly because people have worked out how to play the original game in scummVM with the new voices and music, and without the HAIR OF DOOM!

AWESOME! I've been wanting to buy this for so long but can't on steam. PSN it is.

Just finished the first one over the weekend on 360. But no XBLA release on this one?
Edit: Nevermind, actually read the article. Seems the only platform it isn't coming out for is Atari Lynx

So I just bought the first one on PSN.
Oh man the memories this brings. I played this game so much as a kid.
Anyway I like the new stuff they've done, but the 30 minutes or so I played, I couldn't help switching between versions every few seconds. Yes, I did switch over 500 times in 30 minutes.
Gosh, what a great purchase. Great soundtrack too... and they really did a top notch job porting it to the PS3.
Have you bought it yet idol?

No, not yet. I've been meaning too...still. I'm sorta waiting for when I actually want to play through MI again. I did a full play through not long before the first SE came out.
