Title: Hey Belmont, we need a favor
Post by: sirean_syan on Friday, March 12, 2010, 08:40:31 PM
1. Find out if this is true. (http://thinkprogress.org/2010/03/12/texas-education-board-cuts-thomas-jefferson-out-of-its-textbooks/)

2. If true, go outside and pull one in three people aside and crush their testicles and/or ovaries with a sledgehammer.

Edit: Huh. Well it may be partially true, but I see no mention of Jefferson. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35839979/ns/us_news-education)

Edit 2: From what I can tell, it looks like Jefferson was more or less just cut out of a question involving philosophy. That's not a crime. Still some funny business going on over there though.

Hmm.  Sad, though it seems to me some of what they're blocking is equally political, from the left.

School has changed so much since when I went to high school, nothing like this ever happened.  I remember my school being pretty good about compromising and not letting politics like this retarded shit come into our classes, but this could be because I lived in Austin.  I know a lot of people here in Austin are going apeshit about it, since Austin is a more liberal area of Texas than anywhere else in the state.
