The funny part was that the police successfully subdued him with a BROOM!

That is only the second time I have seen a video of police arresting a crazy guy with a katana.

The first video I saw, the police tried pepper spray first (the bastard just stood there and took it), then they finally subdued him with a ladder.

Oh yeah, I saw that ladder thing on one of those police videos once. It was a smart move, I never would have though of that.

Whoa, that broom move might have gone awry, easily.  One cop skewered and the perp shot full of holes.  It was a pretty big broom, though, the push kind.
