That could be cool... (http://www.destructoid.com/descent-is-headed-to-wiiware-171061.phtml)
Interplay and G1M2 Announce Descent on WiiWare
(April 14th, 2010) — Interplay Entertainment Corp. and G1M2 will partner to bring the classic Descent to the Wii.
“Descent remains the most popular 1080º 3D blasting game. Translating its 3D worlds and game play to WiiWare™ is an exciting move”, said Hervé Caen, CEO of Interplay. “Descent will pair perfectly with the motion sensing Wii Remote™ controller and we can't wait to show players how intuitive the game play and control can be” seconded Scott Hawkins, the Founder of G1M2.
Descent is expected for initial release during Fall 2010 and is planned for electronic distribution through Nintendo's WiiWare™ service.
“Following Clayfighter DSiWare™ & WiiWare™, and Stonekeep WiiWare™, Interplay continues to redevelop its fantastic portfolio of games,” Hervé Caen concluded.

Is it coming over as is, or is there going to be some sort of graphical update. Descent was really primitive graphically.
-
Hopefully with an update, but there hasn't been any word on that. Or screenshots.

It never struck me as all that primitive. The textures were pretty good for what they were, and though the geometry was simple, the robots had a ton of personality in design, I thought. One of my all-time favorite games. It's been so long since I've played any of them... man, I could really go back and play those again. I really could.

The last time I played descent I was really young and at my friends house. I thought it was the coolest shit ever. I'm interested if the price is right (so many games on WiiWare are overpriced)

Now I can't get "Failsafe" out of my head. (Check it out here (http://www.planetdescent.com/site/files/d3/misc/music.asp).) I loved that level music in D3: Mercenary. I thought it provided the perfect 360o X 3 battle mood.

Why in the world did they put the MP3 in a ZIP archive?
-
That is strange, isn't it? My feeling is that it's some sort of automated process, where all files under each link are zipped into one (even when there is only one to begin with).
