Funky, but even if it is successful and keeps all its fantastic promises, the wonderful energy source may never reach the rest of the world. Current energy/fuel providers won't allow it unless they stand to make a fortune off it as well.

If it works, we should build one in Washington DC. If DC tries to control giving out cheap power, the scientist should release the controls and let the sun swallow the city.

Actually, there's probably enough reasons to murder everyone in DC already, but that's a whole host of other issues.
