Amazon has matched GameStop's deal w/ Bioshock 2 and GTA: Episodes from Liberty City (all platforms).
There's other games as well that get the $10 off a future purchase on Amazon - just go and check on their website.
-
GameStop's back at it w/ another one of these online sales.
Check the list here for what's on sale. (http://www.gamestop.com/browse/ProductMerch.aspx?groupid=847)
Some stuff is 10-30% off.
You'll get $10 GC - which can be used off next purchase.

Amazon has matched some of GameStop's deals that began yesterday mentioned in above post... (http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_353127802_2?ie=UTF8&node=2244366011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=browse&pf_rd_r=169Y88CSJ2S1D4VER3RX&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1263626162&pf_rd_i=409566)

Yea I actually got $10 credit off another purchase I made from previously. I tried using that credit to pick up New Super Mario Bros. from that sale list, but guess what, it doesn't work with it. Their coupons are extremely stingy.

I got $10 credit off whatever I buy next from Amazon, when they had that deal going on for Bioshock 2 PC and matched GameStop's deal.
Basically, the catch on Amazon is - for that $10 off, next gaming product has to be purchased from Amazon. I usually buy from them, not a user - so, that shouldn't be too hard to get something I'm looking for from them...

Cyber Monday Sale in effect.
Check it out.
-
Um no.
-
Civ 5 retail box at $39.99 isn't a bad deal.
-
...if you like to deal with the devil.

You know, if you were going to shit on D's effort you could have just not opened the thread.
-
Aw come on, everyone knows that Gamestop basically bends everyone over. Why support them in any way? In all honesty, people should actively avoid that company. My words in this thread weren't eloquent, but it's my own way of trying to get others to avoid them. Maybe I should have chosen my words with more care and I'll consider that in the future. Maybe just posting a link to this thread (http://www.overwritten.net/forum/index.php?topic=6460.0) would have been better.
-
I'm fairly sure that anyone who posts at this forum is well aware of how much Gamestop sucks. This isn't the thread to air those grievances though. I've caught deals (not necessarily from Gamestop) because D was kind enough to post them on this forum when I wouldn't have seen them otherwise. He's doing us a favor. Let the individual decide whether or not to take advantage.
-
Ragging on D is half the fun on these forums!

I thought it was appropriate to bring up the evils of GameStop. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I don't apologize for bringing it up, though as I said I probably can do it more constructively in the future.

I'm definitely NOT a big fan of GameStop Retail Stores. I buy from there here and there - nowhere as much as numerous other places, due to their often horrible practices. I'm sure we've all heard my disaster story of gutted-box copies, back when I bought Diablo 2 + LOD PC on sale from them during a GameDays Sale, some years back - and resulting in me going back and forth to that place numerous times in a row, due to their careless-ness of not having a CD key in the box; not having CD's in the box; and so on and so on. B/c of that careless-ness - I always, when I buy a game from them, before I leave the store, I always check my box and make sure all the stuff is there - game manual; every CD/DVD; CD key (if there is one); or whatever and make sure it's in a decent condition.
I've actually had MUCH better luck when buying Retail Box games directly online through GameStop.com - actually, never had problems buying Retail Boxes from them online and getting it shipped here.
And w/ their PC digital download deals - well, I guess you won't have to worry about getting a used copy, even if you paid the price for a brand new copy! :P Some digital games they sell do in fact require Steam - so, if you don't mind some of the annoyances and/or evils of Steam, you can always buy a digital game from GameStop and upload the Game Key onto Steam - if you're willing to put money in their pocket, of course.
Honestly - it's all up to the buyer. I just try to keep my threads updated w/ deals, for those who are interested.
