Hmm, physical contact takes anything to another level, pleasant or unpleasant.  The reporter could not have been more clear.  The other guy seemed intent on being defiant.  In a bar after a few drinks, without cameras rolling, that's a full-blown fight.

I agree with what you're saying - some people really don't like physical contact at all, so it's best to refrain from it.  That said, I really appreciate how the communications director handled that.  It COULD have went south if the reporter called the police, but he called his bluff and completed his goal without any repercussion. The reporter was being a bit of an invasive prick to the chick at the start...which also probably would have ended up with his ass knocked out on the floor if it was a bar and the cameras weren't rolling.

Tit for tat.....reporter came off worse in my mind.
