Title: Contra: Hard Corps - Uprising coming to PSN and XBLA

Contra: Hard Corps from The Sega Genesis is getting a spiritual successor. (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3179636)
Arc System Works is making it (makers of BlazBlue and Guilty Gear).
Hard Corps: Uprising will be coming to PSN and XBLA.

This is coming out on Feb 16th for anyone who was interested in getting this.

Fucking Arc System Works and Microsoft.  Apparently the Feb 16th release date is only for XBLA and its coming to PSN later in March.

Just tried he demo, and it seems pretty good. Felt good to pick up the spread gun again.

ugghh, the art style though. Why anime? Why?

I got this game a couple of days ago and have been playing it quite a bit and its fucking awesome.  The difficulty is pretty balanced, hard but not too hard.  The boss battles are fucking nuts though.  Anyone who enjoys the Contra games or side scrolling shooters should definitely consider getting this.  Besides the gameplay I think my favorite thing about this game is the music.  Daisuke Ishiwatari, who composed the music for Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, did the music for this game.  The hard rock/metal tracks really fit to all of the explosions and crazy shit going on.  The boss music has been stuck in my head for awhile now.
