Depressing.

I don't know what's worse - the fact that they are raping the Earth or the fact that I can't do anything about it.

I'm pretty sure they both suck equally.

A song I wrote and recorded some years back now. I wrote it specifically to accompany these three beautiful humpback whales, and I'm posting it now in honor of World Oceans Day. What a depressing one it is... what the hell do we think we're doing to the earth? I wish there was more that I could do than post this one stupid song. But I'll at least do that much. Godspeed, all ye lovely creatures. Today, this love song is my apology.

I don't understand why so many people are outraged by this but don't care at all about the millions of tonnes of pollutants that we constantly pump into the air.

Let's not go astray here.  Nature pollutes the air to the tune of about 20 times our contribution.

This spill is more than a tragedy.  It is a crime.  I've been quiet so far because every time I've tried to post, words have failed me.  I still can't express my outrage and desire for violent justice too well.  So I'll let it go at that.

Yeah, it is.  I saw that earlier on joystiq, and asked who the stealthy guy was in the last frame.  Splinter Cell and I never crossed paths.

Hey, good news! They found a solution! (http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/06/20/gulf.oil.spill/index.html?hpt=T1)

This makes me sad in several different ways...

It sucks and it shows how bad shit really is, but you know what?  There's no harm in prayer.  Do what you can, and where you fail... pray.  There's nothing wrong with that at all.

You're right, I've got no problem with people praying. My trouble with this is:

1) I assume people that pray are already praying for this to be fixed. We don't need the government to tell them to.
2) Which is #2. The government is asking people to pray. That doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence and I'm sure the constitution has a few things to say about that.

If this was the catholic church or a bunch of religious groups getting together to designate a day as a day of prayer for this issue, then that would be fine. But we're talking state senators here.
