I don't know, man. That looked kinda dumb.. Why are they still trying to squeeze a story out of 90's joke fighting game? I'd understand if there was a new MK game and they wanted to ride on the hype. This is out of the blue.

Well... in the sense that he was a fan of the franchise... but he is a movie director, and this was a demo reel for the suits. The actors are big name.
