Woo! (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/10/dreamcast-returns-on-psn-and-xbla-this-year/)
Sega link (http://blogs.sega.com/europe/2010/06/10/dcdigitalreturn/)
"The games will include improved resolution, surround sound, and modern amenities like online leaderboards, Achievements, and Trophies."
Starting with Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure. Awesome! I would love to see Shenmue 1 and 2 come to this. And Jet Set Radio!
-
Great news! I regret missing out on the DC altogether. This will hopefully give me a realistic second chance.
-
Awesome! I wanted a dreamcast back in the day but it was too expensive. Now I finally get to play all those classics I've heard so much about.
-
That's pretty cool. :)
Old games don't die - they just get digital re-releases. :)
-
Hell yea, give me some Power Stone!!
-
FUCK YEAH, CRAZY TAXI!
-
Radiant Silvergun please.
-
Radiant Silvergun please.
That was a Saturn release wasn't it?
-
Damn. I think it was.
-
Cool, but they're avoiding the obvious by not putting out Panzer Dragoon Saga. Yeah, it's not Dreamcast, but so many people are interested in playing with with no easy way to try it. All least a lot of the good Dreamcast games got sequels or ported to more mainstream consoles.

Destructoid -> Shenmue 1 + 2 HD has been done for well over a year, but SEGA's just sitting on it - and trying to figure out what to do w/ the future of the series. (http://www.destructoid.com/rumor-shenmue-hd-has-been-done-for-awhile-now-223972.phtml)
Seriously - they should just release the HD Collection on XBLA, PSN, and Steam NOW!!!
EDIT:
G4TV - Microsoft is trying to get Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue up on XBLA. (http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/721808/shenmue-and-skies-of-arcadia-may-be-coming-to-xbla/?cmpid=sn-110418-facebook-28-fbfantrack)
WTH is Sega waiting for? :o
-
My guess would be some sort of strategic tie-in with whatever else they have cooking. The impact of their downloadable ports of older games has been lukewarm at best, so far. They may not want to have this one fizzle before it boosts awareness of . . . whatever.

I just don't get what they are waiting for, since it's been done for over a year, Cobra.
We're talking about Shenmue series and Skies of Arcadia here - ALL very high requested games people want re-released.
Plus, people been wanting Shenmue 3, anyways - especially since Shenmue 2 has a cliffhanger ending, anyways...
-
If Shenmue 3 was coming, we'd know about it. Sega really hasn't shown that it has the capacity for a game of that scale anymore. There's not much that they could really tie remakes of the originals to. Sonic the Zombie?
-
Aside from Jet Set Radio, it doesn't seem like Sega is up to anything major. They have been porting some Dreamcast titles across the board on all platforms over the past couple of years.
Hmm.. New Phantasy Star on the horizon?
EDIT:
Speak of the devil... Phantasy Star Online 2 to hit the PS Vita. (http://videogamewriters.com/phantasy-star-online-2-hits-vita-in-2013-supports-cross-platform-play-41062/).. in 2013.

'Jet Set Radio HD' review: bad reception (http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/9/11/3313918/jet-set-radio-hd-review)
Ouch.
-
Could have been worse. Basically that review says its a good port, but the game hasn't aged well.

Yeah, despite some good ideas I guess expectations were high.
-
Here (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-09-12-jet-set-radio-review) is a very different view. I assumed this game would be out today, given the reviews went public. But it's nowhere in evidence on XBLA yet. I do want to try it out.
-
I want it. I really loved that game, and I'm annoyed I never got to finish JSRF. Neither my Xbox or my 360 work anymore.
