This looks awesome! (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-scott-pilgrim/101185)

Barf! Not only do I have to watch Michael Cera...but I have to play as him too? Which button do you think will do the patented blank stare?
-
It doesn't look anything like the movie...
It's more based on the books.
-
That looks fun!
It totally reminded me of Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5zpNfTfGZU)

Haha, its like the only thing that brings you back here to post are things involving Micheal Cera, you have this weird obsession with hating him.

Anything he does just awakens this hatred inside me, it can't be explained.

He's not involved in the game in any way. Likeness, voice, or anything.

i think it's repressed lust.

Yes, I have a thing for awkward, beady eyed, bird faced man boys.

i have this game. it is awesome.
at first it feels like a simple streets of rage rip with pretty graphics and kick ass music. once you gain some extra moves, however - it *really* picks up. bouncing off multiple enemies heads while flinging various objects into the mix and unleashing juggles and lengthy combos is massively fun.
if you've read the comics, obviously you'll get all the in-jokes and humorous little references. if you haven't read the comics, you'll still get a lot of them, since a lot of the source material draws inspiration from video games anyway.
i'll repeat the following: 1. it plays awesome, 2. it looks awesome, 3. it sounds *really* awesome.

I got my hands on it yesterday and it is pretty awesome. If you love the classic brawlers the nostalgia is great.

Damn it. I really want to give this a whirl now. Thanks, Beo.

So I don't know why I never updated to say that I had this and it's awesome. Because I do and it is. Sy is staying with me for a week while he goes to a conference in the city and we managed to get all the way through it, brought two characters up to max level. It was really the most fun I'd had with a game in ages. I picked up the Knives DLC too mostly because it had a few cool features that came with it... which are interesting but not that interesting. The dodgeball could have been awesome, but I sort of don't get it. Maybe it's more fun with more people. The PVP arena is actually pretty great, though. We had some epic battles and they were all quite entertaining. With 4 people it would be a complete blast. Knives herself is... well, another character. Hard to say what all her unique attributes are until she gets leveled, but Sy says she plays close to Kim. I dunno' if the DLC is worth it or not. The PVP arena is fun, and it's nice to have the drop-in multiplayer, but I had higher hopes for the dodgeball.
