Some sort of voice alteration, I take it?  Big improvement over silent characters, for the kids anyway.

I guess.  I feel like if you were standing there you would hear the person speaking inside the mask, but I don't know what else it could be.  It clearly isn't pre-recorded and it seems too natural to be both a physical actor in the suit and a voice actor in a booth.  Maybe it just has real awesome sound insulation in the mask.

Maybe a mic inside the mask with a decent hidden speaker on the front of the mask with all the mouth movement and such reacting automatically to the speech.
