Cute (http://www.ugo.com/games/costume-quest-double-fine-preview)
Sounds kind of interesting.

Huh, neat. I'll buy it.

So this is out. I don't know how all the reviews are panning out, but Game Informer didn't like it (http://gameinformer.com/games/costume_quest/b/xbox360/archive/2010/10/20/costume-quest-review-too-much-trick-not-enough-treat.aspx). Or did they? Check out the last paragraph of the review:
Costume Quest is cute and funny, so it may look like a good game for kids. Let me assure you: After completing the adventure (which took me about five hours), I can’t recommend Costume Quest to gamers of any age.
Final score? 6/10

Game Informer is full of morons.

My brother was playig the demo last night and said he thought it was a little too dumbed down. As in, he thought it was designed with children in mind, because it was a little simple. He said it wasn't BAD, just a little simple and he wished there was more to it.

I played the demo today and I didn't like the combat at all. It felt like a bad copy of Mario RPG. Running around the world is OK, but nothing spectacular. I don't know. I expected better from DF. I also hear it's very short. This disease is a pandemic now, though.

Well, its on Steam now (http://store.steampowered.com/app/115100/). Which despite maybe not wanting this particular game it gives hope for Double Fine to release stuff on PC.

I got it when it went on sale for $7.50 (600 pts). It's a lot of fun, but short. I should play through it again for Halloween.
