Title: I Need A Fake, Real Email Account
Post by: nickclone on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, 08:58:10 AM
To make a long story short, I need to sign up for a site, but can't use a free email account which is all I have. Is there anyway to get around this (I can't use my ISP email, I have no work email and I don't go to school anymore)?

The email for the mozilla app didn't work, it seems to be a few years old so I guess they're on to it. The second site...well the email address was too long to fit in the box? Got anything else?

My real email account is a hotmail account.  Whoever doesn't like it doesn't get me as a member.  I much prefer online email to local.  It works exactly the same way regardless of where I am, and the spam filtering is always better, never a chore I need to keep on top of.  I have a Roadrunner account I could log into with Outlook, but I just don't use it.

I signed up for neogaf with my ISP email that I never ever use, because they dont accept free email accounts. That was 2 years ago and I still cant post there, because they authorize people by hand and I'm guessing they sent a verification email with a link to click. Unfortunately, my dad uses that email account and probably deleted it as spam and I dont see any way to request a new verification.

I even tried my dad's comcast email account, but I guess those are free now too? Either way, they wouldn't take it...there has to be some way around this.

Found one here: http://www.brainofbrian.com/freemail.html

You could always ask idol or Que to set you up with an overwritten.net address...

Haha, if they catch on to this one, I might need to ask them for one.

Aww man, I'd have to look up how to do that.

I've come across maybe like one site that has done that and I think I just walked away.  I do have a school email and an isp based one, but those just forward to my web-based hotmail and gmail.  Honestly, it seems like a stupid way to filter.

If you still need it nick, I have an old edu email that I could verify with, as long as you don't need it for anything more than that.

Thanks, its going to take a couple of days before they authorize my account (if they do it), I'll let you know if I need any help.

What is this about, if you don't mind me asking?  What sort of site requires a corporate, school, or ISP account?

I don't know, the Skins have sucked for the past 15 years, I guess the board gets a lot of haters.

I'm a Bengals fan.  So I know about haters.  They boards there are actually very lively so they have tons of moderators and the moderation is heavy.

It is like the opposite of this place.  They merge threads if two topics are even remotely close to one another, which create these mega-threads where you can't even tell what is going on because it is three or four threads mashed into one.  They also strictly police cursing, knocking the moderators, other teams' fans being in Bengals-only forums, but strangely let personal attacks go.  It's pretty bad and I got tired of the place.

Apparently, they aren't feeling my fake, real email accounts. If you guys could actually give me an actual, professional (I've tried nickclone twice) email account for a short amount or atleast  to verify my account, I'd be eternally grateful.
