Title: PS3 sells out in Japan.
Post by: idolminds on Saturday, November 11, 2006, 04:08:15 PM
Sold out at launch. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6135452.stm) Thats to be expected, especially when you only have 80,000 units (http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/742/742510p1.html) available. I mean, the DS has been out for ages and puts out those numbers on a weekly basis in Japan.

Obligatory VGCats. (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/images/061012.jpg)

No, they've dropped back launch estimates a few times which would point to production troubles. You've got both Cell ships and Blu-Ray in there...new tech thats hard to make.
