Title: First game music to be nominated for a Grammy.

Grammy sucks, who cares. Still, it pleases me that a great piece of game music is gaining in popularity and exposure.

Yeah, well, awesome tune regardless.  But there's too much politics in such nominations.  The theme from Shaft won an Oscar.  Here is an inspiring excerpt from that ethereal composition:

You say that Shaft is a bad mutha?"
Shut your mouth!
I'm taking 'bout Shaft
And we can dig it.

Wait, I just realized that this was for Civ IV... not Civ V.

Isn't this supposed to be a yearly thing?

I think this is the first time it has been released as a single or something.

I love video game music and original movie scores as well.

haha yea most of my music is either some form of trance/house, or game or movie music. I particularly love work by Hans Zimmer or James Newton Howard, so it was an awesome surprise when they collaborated for the Batman movies.
