Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NX-MvnYUEs)
Thats...amazing. Basically a ton of mods all put together to update the game. Dude who put it all together is going to put them all in an installer to make it nice and easy for everyone. I think I'll have to give Morrowind a proper go.
-
Awesome! ;D
Keep us posted on this one, Idol.

Here you go. (http://morrowind2011.wordpress.com/)
Ok, so the install doesn't look quite as simple as one would hope, but whatever. Download is just over 1GB.

I think I prefer my own concoction, but I'll be damned if some of those light and water effects aren't amazing. I need to figure out where this guy is getting the stuff from.
-
Good thing you like your own concoction, since the individual modders got mad about the compilation and the guy had to take it all down.
-
Aww, that's a drag.
-
Its just a shame that its like this. I understand both sides of the argument.
If you're a modder you kind of want to be able to exert some kind of control over your mod. Being buried in a compilation means no one will care that you actually made that part of it. If the compiler did a bad job it could reflect poorly on your mod. Updates to your mod would be a bitch to explain to people with an edited compilation version because you dont know how the compilation is set up, etc.
On the other side, who the hell really wants to sit down, track down 40 different mods to update the game (if you even know what you're looking for), and work your way through the rats nest of compatibility issues just to play an old-ass game from 2002. Most sane people will just skip it and play Oblivion or something. The only way to get those people to do it is to have a compilation that makes it easy to get up and going.
-
Yeah, exactly. It really can be a nightmare trying to find all the great stuff yourself. It would be great to have an "expert" do it for you. Though it didn't look to me like this guy was even using Better Bodies, and I saw some updated heads but also some stock ones, so maybe he wasn't doing the best job he could have been. I dunno', it's hard to say.
